Meet Our Doctor:
Dave Firmage – Sherman TX Dentist | Gray Oak Family Dental
Doctor David Firmage (Known by his patients as Doctor Dave), completed his undergraduate degree at Utah State University in Logan, UT and received a Doctorate of Dental Medicine at Roseman University of Health Sciences in South Jordan, UT. While in dental school, Dr. Firmage was recognized and received the following:
- Distinguished Clinician Award and Scholarship
- Distinguished Leadership Award and Scholarship
- Lifelong Colleague Award
- Health Professions Scholarship (United States Air Force)
After graduating from dental school, Dr. Firmage completed a 3-year commitment in the United States Air Force, including a 1-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency and two subsequent years of active-duty service. His advanced training and experience include dental implants, complex restorations, CAD-CAM crowns, periodontal surgeries, root canal surgeries, third molar (wisdom tooth) surgeries and IV sedation. Dr. Firmage cares deeply about his patients’ comfort and strives to provide an exceptional level of dental care in a calm, understanding environment. He enjoys spending time with patients to explain treatment options, answer questions and discuss concerns. Dr. Firmage is also an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) and the American Dental Association (ADA).
Personal Time
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Firmage loves spending time with his family and being active in his faith and community. He enjoys the outdoors and sports including cycling, golfing, fishing, etc. He and his wife have been married for 13 years and are the proud parents of four young girls. Dr. Firmage is an Eagle Scout recipient and is also fluent in Spanish.
